The Sizzledodge by Banana Boat
Problem
Australia has the highest incidence of melanoma in the world.
With 2 out of 3 Australians likely to suffer from skin cancer in their lifetime, the best way to solve the problem is to educate children from an early age about the importance of being sun-safe. Problem is, kids hate putting on sunscreen. We needed to teach kids the dangers in a way they could understand.
Solution
The first sun-activated kids book.
Introducing 'Colin Splodge and the Sizzledodge' the world's first sun -activated story book. Printed with UV-reactive ink, the pages react the instant they're exposed to the sun. The book tells the story of a little bow and a magical creature called the Sizzledodge who when exposed to sunlight, appears and offers tips on how to be sun-safe.
The book was published for distribution to Australian families and was available to order online. Using this innovative approach Banana Boat gave parents a new way to help teach the next generation of Australians how to dodge the sizzle.
