eBay search makes it easy to find what vou want. But at Christmas when you're trying to find a unique gift for someone else, it's hard to know what to search for.
SOLUTION
Do something eBay had never done before - change their search algorithm.
Working with eBay we modified their search functionality to cross-reference two search terms at a time, using interests and hobbies. So if you knew just two things someone liked, eBay could search over 20 million items to find a unique present they would love. Giving Australia a brand new way to find gifts.
RESULTS
- 1 million average weekly buyers for the 1st time
- 3.34 Million registered visitors to the site $6 million in earned media.
- Biggest shopping day in history: Up 25% online. Up 47% mobile.
